Dashboard Overview

Once you’ve activated your license, the Switchboard dashboard becomes your command center. Let’s walk through what you’ll see.

The Header

At the top of the dashboard, you’ll find:

  • Logo and version — confirms you’re running Pro and which version
  • Module count — shows how many modules are active out of the total
  • License status — “Licensed” when everything’s good
  • Enable/Disable All — bulk toggle for all modules (use carefully)
  • Settings — access to global settings and data management

Press Cmd+K (Mac) or Ctrl+K (Windows) anywhere on the dashboard to open search. Start typing a module name or keyword.

This is the fastest way to find what you need. Looking for something that handles reading time? Type “reading” and it shows up instantly.

Filtering Modules

Below the header, you’ll find filter options:

By Status

  • Active — modules you’ve enabled
  • Inactive — modules that are off

By Category Use the category tabs to browse:

  • Content
  • Security
  • Admin
  • Utilities
  • Media
  • Optimization
  • User Management

View Options

  • Grid view (3 or 4 columns)
  • List view for a more compact display

Module Cards

Each module appears as a card showing:

The basics

  • Module name
  • Short description
  • Category icon

Status indicators

  • Toggle switch — on/off state
  • Settings icon (gear) — appears if the module has configurable options
  • Heart icon — mark favorites for quick access

Badges

  • “New” — added in the last 30 days
  • “Popular” — commonly used modules
  • “Beta” — experimental features (only visible if beta mode is on)

Use Cases & Where to Find

Expand a module card to see more:

Use Cases — practical examples of when you’d use this module. Helps you decide if it’s what you need.

Where to Find — tells you where to see the module in action after enabling it. Some work on the frontend, some in admin, some automatically.

Favorites

Click the heart icon on any module to mark it as a favorite. Favorites appear first when you filter by “Favorites” — handy if you manage multiple sites with similar setups.

Favorites are stored per-user, so each admin can have their own.

First-Time Tour

If this is your first time, Switchboard shows a quick 3-step tour:

  1. Beta Modules — explains experimental features
  2. Quick Search — shows the keyboard shortcut
  3. Favorites — how to mark modules for quick access

You can dismiss this and it won’t bother you again. If you ever want to see it again, clear your browser’s local storage for this site.

Settings Access

Click the Settings button in the header to access:

  • License management
  • Data management (cleanup tools)
  • Export/Import configurations
  • Beta mode toggle
  • Telemetry preferences

More on these in the Global Settings guide.

Now that you know your way around, let’s enable some modules.
